Our policy
html.design respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content on our site infringes your copyright, please submit a DMCA takedown notice using the form below or email [email protected].
We respond to all valid notices. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.
Filing a DMCA notice
A valid takedown notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner (or authorized agent)
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- The URL(s) of the allegedly infringing content on html.design
- Your contact information — full name, address, phone, email
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
What happens after you file
- Review — we verify the notice meets the legal requirements (usually within 24 hours)
- Removal — if valid, we remove the content and notify the uploader
- Counter-notice — the uploader can file a counter-notice if they believe the removal was in error
- Restoration — if a valid counter-notice is filed and you don't sue within 10 business days, we may restore the content
Counter-notice procedure
If you believe content was removed or disabled by mistake, you may file a counter-notice including:
- Your signature, name, address, phone, email
- Identification of the removed content and its previous URL
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error
- Consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court
Send counter-notices to [email protected].
Repeat infringers
We maintain a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. After two valid takedown notices against the same uploader, we suspend the account; after a third, we terminate it permanently.
False claims
Filing a fraudulent DMCA notice is a federal offense in the US and may result in legal liability, including damages, costs, and attorneys' fees. Please only file a notice if you are the copyright owner or an authorized agent.
