Fjelvik — Travel Agency HTML Template
Photography-first tour and travel template with a working booking panel, tour filters and tour detail page.
Description
Fjelvik is a free, modern travel agency HTML template for tour operators, adventure travel companies, trekking and hiking outfitters, island-hopping and boat-tour businesses, destination management companies, and travel bloggers who sell trips. It ships as six static pages, three small stylesheets and one vanilla script — no framework, no build step, no jQuery and no dependencies. The look is photography-first and calm: a cool fog ground at #F3F4F1, pine-black ink at #101412, and a single pale glacier tone at #D5E4E1 used as a field for the call-to-action pill, trip-type chips and closing card rather than as a loud accent, so your destination photographs carry the colour. SUSE sets the headlines, Golos Text carries the reading copy, and Ubuntu Sans Mono handles labels.
The home page opens the way the best travel booking sites do: a full-bleed photograph with a floating booking panel beside the headline, then a sentence broken up by inline photo pills, a photo with a stat ledger, an asymmetric destination bento, three promises, featured tours, a traveller quote set over a photograph, and a closing call to action.
A booking panel that actually works
The hero panel is a real tabbed form, not a picture of one. Tour, Flight and Hotels are proper ARIA tabs with arrow-key navigation, and each tab swaps in its own fields. Check-in and check-out dates default to a sensible week a fortnight ahead, the check-out date can never fall before check-in, and the guest stepper counts up and down within limits. Submitting shows a friendly message — that is the single place you connect your booking engine or enquiry handler.
What ships in the download
- Home (index.html) — photo hero with booking panel, photo-pill statement, stat ledger, destination bento, promises, featured tours, quote band and call to action
- Tours (tours.html) — filterable tour grid with trip-type chips, a max-price slider, four sort orders, a live result count and a designed empty state, plus a destinations strip
- Tour detail (tour.html) — photo hero with key facts, a gallery with switchable thumbnails, what’s included, a day-by-day itinerary accordion, a sticky booking card and related tours
- About (about.html) — the story, a figures bento, three working rules and the guide team
- Contact (contact.html) — enquiry form with validation and group-size chips, an office card and an FAQ accordion
- 404 page — an on-brand “this trail doesn’t go anywhere” page
Filtering tours
Each tour card carries data-kind, data-price and data-days attributes. The chips, the price slider and the sort menu read those attributes directly and reorder the existing cards, so adding a tour means adding one card — there is no JSON file to keep in sync.
Accessibility and performance
Semantic landmarks, a skip link, exactly one h1 per page, labelled fields, ARIA tabs, aria-expanded accordions and aria-pressed chips. The mobile menu closes on Escape and returns focus to its button. Every image has explicit dimensions to prevent layout shift and below-the-fold images lazy-load. Focus rings stay visible and prefers-reduced-motion is honoured. The whole template was checked at 360, 768, 1024, 1440 and 1920 pixels wide with no horizontal overflow.
Who it’s for
Use Fjelvik for a tour operator, an adventure or trekking company, a small-group travel agency, a boat or island-tour business, a safari or expedition outfitter, a destination guide, a travel blog that sells trips, or a hotel group promoting local experiences. Because it is plain HTML and vanilla JavaScript it drops straight into WordPress, Laravel, Astro, Shopify or any static host.
Other free templates from the same studio
Fjelvik joins a growing free catalogue on html.design, each built around a different visual recipe. Look at Talasea for a boutique hotel, Fernwick for a plant-shop store with a working basket, Brynvel for a dark-first admin dashboard, Vandrel for a Next.js portfolio, Halvorn for a corporate consultancy, or Cratewell for a moving company.
Customising
Every colour, font, size, radius and shadow is a CSS custom property at the top of assets/css/tokens.css. site.css holds the header, menu, footer, tour cards and destination tiles; pages.css holds the page sections. Photographs are hot-linked from Pexels and listed in assets/img/CREDITS.md — swap in your own before launch.
