Talasea — Boutique Hotel Website HTML Template
Cinematic, editorial four-page template for small luxury hotels
Description
Talasea is a four-page editorial HTML template for boutique hotels, small luxury inns, agriturismo, and quiet hospitality brands. The aesthetic is cinematic and editorial — a forest-green and cream palette with a brass accent, DM Serif Display paired with Sora, and a slow, deliberate rhythm that avoids the standard "hotel template" look.
The template ships as plain HTML, CSS, and a small file of vanilla JavaScript with no build step. Every design choice is exposed as a CSS custom property at the top of styles.css — change three values and the entire theme re-skins. Typography is loaded once via Google Fonts with preconnect, and reduced-motion is respected throughout.
Pages
- index.html — Cinematic hero with portrait product visual, marquee strip, intro section with editorial drop-cap, four-card room bento, dark dining feature, location with kilometre-by-distance list, voices grid, press strip, dark CTA, and a four-column footer.
- rooms.html — Six-category alternating editorial catalog with specs, pricing, and reservation CTAs, plus a dark amenities band and a closing CTA.
- story.html — Long-form narrative with a pull-quote, full-bleed atmosphere image, three-portrait team grid, three-card values block.
- contact.html — Booking inquiry form, four labeled contact blocks, and a hand-drawn SVG map of the bay (no third-party map embed required).
Design notes
The palette is intentionally warm and slow — deep forest #1f2e26 against cream #f3ecdd with a single brass accent #b08948, plus a soft moss green for muted text. The display face is DM Serif Display, an unusually bold high-contrast serif that anchors each page. Sora handles body and UI; JetBrains Mono is used for eyebrows and small labels. Every editorial section uses asymmetric grids; uniform full-width grids are deliberately avoided. Subtle grain, focus-visible outlines, and reduced-motion fallbacks are wired in.
Use cases
Boutique hotels, small luxury inns, B&Bs with strong design identity, agriturismo, vacation rentals, retreat properties, supper clubs, country houses, and any hospitality brand that prefers a quiet, considered presentation over the standard booking-engine aesthetic.
Replacing images
Every visual under assets/img/ is a labeled SVG placeholder that looks intentional out of the box. Each <img> tag is preceded by an HTML comment naming the recommended dimensions and content. Drop in real photography and you're ready to ship.
