Volta — Free Fitness & Gym Website Template
A magazine-style HTML template for boutique studios and strength gyms.
Description
Volta — a free HTML template for fitness studios that take training seriously
Volta is a free, magazine-style HTML template designed for boutique gyms, strength & conditioning studios, Hyrox prep rooms, and wellness brands that want their website to feel as deliberate as the work happening on the floor. It ships as five pages — Home, Classes, Trainers, Membership, and Visit — built on plain HTML, CSS, and a tiny vanilla JavaScript file. No build step. No framework. No license fees. Just open the folder and edit.
An editorial bento layout — not another centered hero
The home page leads with an asymmetric bento composition, not the safe centered headline you'll find in most free gym templates. The hero packs a strike-through wordmark, a coral-on-charcoal photo cell, a "today's drop" CTA, a stats counter, a directional arrow tile, and a press pull-quote — together, on one screen, with deliberate hierarchy. Visitors clock the brand inside three seconds, which is what a good gym hero needs to do.
If you've worked with our other free templates, you'll recognize the philosophy: every component is intentional. The same care that went into Aurix — our AI SaaS landing page template went into Volta — but tuned for a category that lives or dies on energy.
Built on the design tokens, not the templates, of editorial fitness brands
The palette is honest: deep charcoal (#0a0a0a) for ink, warm cream (#f4f0e8) for paper, and electric coral (#ff4d2e) for accents. It's a deliberate departure from the all-black-with-neon-green look every gym website has been doing for ten years. The display face is Space Grotesk, set tight with a -0.04em letter-spacing for the hero — paired with Manrope for body, JetBrains Mono for utility labels, and Instrument Serif for italic accents on the headline.
What's included
- 5 pages — Home (bento + programs + schedule + trainers + pricing + stories + final CTA), Classes (full catalog), Trainers (3 coach cards + bench), Membership (3 tiers + add-ons), Visit (booking form + hours + direct lines).
- Asymmetric magazine bento — composition you won't find in the usual gym template marketplaces.
- Sticky header with frosted-glass backdrop and animated underline links.
- Marquee strip with the program list — endless horizontal motion, pause-on-prefers-reduced-motion.
- Programs grid — six tracks in a varied 12-column bento, not a uniform 3-up.
- Weekly schedule strip — proper 7-day grid with class times and teacher pacing.
- Trainer feature cards with portrait aspect-ratio photo slots and credential badges.
- 3-tier membership table with featured plan, add-ons, and corporate option.
- Member stories block styled as editorial pull-quotes, not stock testimonial cards.
- Class catalog page with row-style listings, hover state, and rich descriptions.
- Visit page with a tour-booking form, address, hours, and direct contact lines.
- Reduced-motion respect, semantic HTML, alt text on every image, keyboard-friendly nav.
- Fully responsive — verified at 320, 768, 1024, 1440, and 1920.
Pair it with these sister templates
Volta is part of a small, deliberately-designed set of free HTML templates we've been shipping. If you're spinning up a fitness brand, these are the closest cousins:
- Neogym — a free, dark-mode gym website template with a more traditional gym aesthetic. Stronger fit if your studio leans heavyweight or strongman.
- Gyments — a classic gym HTML template with full multi-page architecture (about, classes, schedule, trainers).
- Sportpar — a free sports website template, useful if your studio runs leagues, teams, or competitive programs.
- Selfit — a fitness equipment store HTML template, great if you sell merch or supplements alongside memberships.
- Bridge — a wellness and recovery HTML template, perfect if your brand sits closer to mobility / physical therapy than strength.
And if you're shipping a separate project alongside the studio site:
- Axioma — a creative agency template if you also run a coaching consultancy or content studio under the same brand.
- Solara — a restaurant website template, useful for a sister café or community space.
- Meridia — a real-estate template, for the inevitable second-location announcement page.
Editing & replacing the placeholder visuals
Every <img> in the template is preceded by an HTML comment naming the dimensions and the type of photo it expects (<!-- REPLACE: athlete mid-lift, low-key lighting · 800×1200 portrait -->). The decorative SVG figures inside hero cells and trainer cards are placeholders, designed so the template ships with intentional visual language out of the box. Swap them for real photos — portrait orientation, low-key gym lighting works best — when you launch.
Color customisation is centralized in :root CSS custom properties at the top of assets/css/styles.css. Change --coral to retune the entire accent system; change --paper to swap to a different background tone.
