Acceptance

By using html.design, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. These terms apply to both free template downloads and paid services (PSD to HTML, Figma to HTML, Website Management, HTML to WordPress).

The service

html.design provides free HTML templates under a Creative Commons license and paid conversion & maintenance services. The free templates are provided as-is. Paid services are delivered per a fixed-price quote you agree to before we start work.

Licenses & usage

All free templates are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0. That page is authoritative for template usage rights. In short: free for any project including commercial, give attribution in your footer, don't re-sell as-is.

Accounts

You don't need an account to download templates. If you do create one (to save favorites, track downloads), you're responsible for keeping your credentials safe. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms or the acceptable use policy.

Acceptable use

When using the site, you agree not to:

• Scrape templates at scale or automate downloads beyond personal use
• Rehost our templates on another template library without modification and attribution
• Re-sell our templates as-is on marketplaces (ThemeForest, Creative Market, etc.)
• Abuse the contact / quote forms for spam
• Attempt to access non-public areas of the site
• Use the site in a way that harms other users or overloads the servers

Paid services

All paid services — PSD to HTML, Figma to HTML, HTML to WordPress, Website Management — are:

• Quoted fixed-price before work begins
• Invoiced 50% upfront for projects over $500, full payment up front for smaller projects
• Delivered against an agreed scope; scope changes are re-quoted in writing
• Subject to our standard NDAs if requested

Refunds

Before we start: full refund if you change your mind before we begin coding.

After we've started: pro-rated refund based on completed work, at our discretion. We typically refund if the issue is on our end; we do not refund for scope changes or design-source issues.

Retainer plans (Manage Website): cancel anytime, pro-rated for the unused portion of the current month.

Intellectual property & content

The html.design brand, logo, and original blog content are ours. The template code is licensed under Creative Commons 3.0 as described in the license page.

If you submit a template to the community gallery, you retain ownership but grant us a license to display and redistribute it on html.design under CC 3.0.

Warranty disclaimer

Templates and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We've hand-reviewed every template, but we can't guarantee compatibility with every possible server environment. Always test on a staging environment first.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, html.design is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim related to paid services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site if you materially violate these terms. You can stop using the service at any time. Termination doesn't affect rights that have already accrued (e.g., templates you've already downloaded are still yours to use under the CC license).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of India. If you're a consumer resident in the EU or UK, local consumer-protection laws may also apply.
