Your template looks alive.
It can’t hear a thing.
Every free HTML template ships with a contact form that goes nowhere, no way to collect a rating, and no idea when something breaks on a visitor’s screen. Feedy adds all of it with one script tag — no PHP, no database, no server to rent.
<script async src="https://tryfeedy.com/w.js" data-key="fdy_pk_..."></script>
The part nobody mentions
A template is a front end. Nothing is listening behind it.
Download any template on this site, open it, press Send on the contact form and watch nothing happen. That is not a bug in the template — there is simply no server on the other end. Here is the difference one line makes.
To make it real you would write a PHP mail handler, find a host that runs PHP, wire up SMTP so it doesn’t land in spam, and add your own bot protection. That’s an afternoon, minimum — and it still gives you no ratings and no bug reports.

One inbox, filterable by type and status. Export the lot to CSV or JSON, or copy any single report as Markdown and paste it straight into an AI coding agent to fix.
What it collects
Five things your template can’t do on its own.
Same script tag for all of them. Turn on what you want, hide what you don’t.
A contact form that actually delivers
Messages land in your inbox with the page they came from and a reply-to address. No mail server,
no mail() function, no SMTP credentials sitting in a PHP file. Rate-limited and bound to
your domain, so a scraped key can’t be used to spam you from somewhere else.
Star ratings & yes/no votes
Five-star or a simple “was this helpful?”, with an optional comment. Per page, so you learn which page is the weak one.
Feature requests
Visitors tell you what’s missing, tied to the exact page they were on when they thought of it.
Exit intent
Ask “what stopped you?” at the moment someone gives up, instead of guessing at it from analytics.
Styled to match
Colour, size, shape, icon, label, light or dark, which corner, how far in — and hide it on mobile if you’d rather.
Bug reports that arrive already debugged
This is the one you can’t fake with a form service. When a visitor reports a problem, the report carries the last 50 console lines, every failed network request with its status code and timing, their browser and screen size, the page URL, and a screenshot they can draw on to circle the problem. You stop replying “what browser were you using?” and start fixing.
Ready-made
Seven question sets. Pick one, or write your own.
You don’t have to design a feedback flow from scratch — these ship with the widget.

Create a Feedy key
An email and a password. No card for the first 30 days. You get a public key bound to your domain.
Paste one line
Drop the script tag in before </body>, swap in your key, upload. The bubble appears
and the inbox starts filling.
Straight answer on cost
The templates stay free. Feedy is a few dollars a month.
We’d rather tell you now than after you’ve wired it in. Feedy has a 30-day free trial that needs only an email and a password — no card. After the trial there’s a 14-day grace period before the widget stops showing, and paid plans start at $1.99 a month.
- Every feature on every plan — bug reports, ratings, forms, ideas, exports
- 500 reports per month per site, 90 days of screenshot history
- Domain-bound key with rate limiting, so it can’t be lifted and abused
Annual billing works out to ten months for twelve. Full pricing and comparisons live on tryfeedy.com.

The things people ask us after downloading.
Why doesn’t the contact form in my downloaded template work?
An HTML template is only the front end. The form markup is there, but there’s no server behind it to receive the submission, so pressing Send does nothing. Normally you’d have to write PHP, host it somewhere that runs PHP, and handle spam yourself. A hosted widget replaces all of that with one script tag.
Do I need PHP, a database or a server?
No. It’s a single JavaScript file loaded from Feedy. It works on GitHub Pages, Netlify, Vercel, Cloudflare Pages, S3, shared hosting, or a plain folder of HTML files opened over any web server.
Will it slow my template down?
The script loads with the async attribute, so it never blocks rendering. It’s roughly
22 KB and served with a four-hour cache.
Can I make it match my template’s design?
Yes — colour, size, shape, icon, button label, light or dark theme, which screen corner it sits in and how far from the edge. You can also hide it on mobile if it crowds a small screen.
Can I get my feedback back out?
Everything exports to CSV or JSON. Any single report can also be copied as Markdown and pasted straight into an AI coding agent, which is the fastest path from “a visitor found a bug” to “it’s fixed”.
Is Feedy connected to html.design?
Yes — same people. We build the free templates here and we built Feedy because the single most common email we get is “how do I make the contact form work?”. You are never required to use it; every template on this site stays free and unrestricted either way.
